Human trafficking affects an estimated 40 million people worldwide. Here in the United States, there is a critical need for safe housing. In 2021 National Trafficking Sheltered Alliance reported that there were over 300,000 requests nationwide for a human trafficking specific bed and only 1,300 beds available. Without safe housing, victims face the unthinkable of returning to their trafficker, the only “shelter” they know. Here at Hope5one, we feel an extreme burden for this housing crisis and desire to build a facility that will provide safe housing as well as a restoration program for women coming out of a trafficking situation.   • It is estimated that there are over 40 million people in slavery worldwide.

  • Human trafficking is an estimated $150 billion per year industry and the fastest growing crime in the world.

  • Human trafficking can take the form of sex trafficking (using force, fraud, or coercion to perform a commercial sex act) or labor trafficking (using force, fraud, or coercion to induce an individual to work or provide a service).

  • 96% of victims are women. 50% are children.

There are many ways to get involved! Educate yourself on what trafficking is and the signs to look for. We offer education and awareness to groups of any size.
